Pineapples or Ananas Comosus from the family Bromeliaciae was a plant in which tropically origin from east Area of South America. Pineapple was started worldwide production by 15th century. Malaysia was well known as one of the world pineapple suppliers. Malaysia was the 18th top production pineapple in the world and the production of pineapple about 391714 a year. The objectives of this study was to determine the factors of Malaysian’s consumers’ preference in purchasing pineapples. From the factors, this study was to evaluate the most dominant factor of Malaysian’s consumers’ preferences in purchasing pineapples. A total of 200 respondents from Jasin, Melaka with objectives of identifying factors affecting Malaysian’s consumer’s preferences purchasing pineapple in the study area. Respondent were asked about demand toward pineapples, knowledge level on pineapples, characteristic of pineapples and consumer preferences purchasing pineapples. The obtained data were analysed using descriptive analysis and exploratory factor analysis. From the result KMO, 0.721 was reliable acceptable for conducting factor analysis since it was greater than 0.5. From factor analysis, the result illustrated that, the demand was the most dominant attribute towards Malaysian’s consumers’ preferences in purchasing pineapples. It was represented by three main factors which eigenvalues more than 1, consumer demand (3.942), consumer knowledge (2.602) and characteristic of pineapples (2.092). It was about 57.6 % of total variance were explained by three factors. From this result, it was proven that the consumer demand indirectly can increase pineapples production

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Psychological Science Accelerator coordinated three large-scale psychological studies to examine the effects of loss-gain framing, cognitive reappraisals, and autonomy framing manipulations on behavioral intentions and affective measures. The data collected (April to October 2020) included specific measures for each experimental study, a general questionnaire examining health prevention behaviors and COVID-19 experience, geographical and cultural context characterization, and demographic information for each participant. Each participant started the study with the same general questions and then was randomized to complete either one longer experiment or two shorter experiments. Data were provided by 73,223 participants with varying completion rates. Participants completed the survey from 111 geopolitical regions in 44 unique languages/dialects. The anonymized dataset described here is provided in both raw and processed formats to facilitate re-use and further analyses. The dataset offers secondary analytic opportunities to explore coping, framing, and self-determination across a diverse, global sample obtained at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, which can be merged with other time-sampled or geographic data

Role of financial development, economic growth & foreign direct investment in driving climate change: A case of emerging ASEAN.

In the context of remarkable economic growth and financial development in the emerging economies of East Asia, this paper attempts to shed light on the ecological consequences (CO2 emission) of economic growth, foreign direct investment and financial development in the selected ASEAN-5 economies. Drawing on the data from 1982 to 2014, we employed a set of quantitative techniques for panel data analysis which entailed Dynamic Ordinary Least Squares (DOLS) and Fully Modified OLS (FMOLS) approaches. Our findings indicate that financial and economic development, as well as FDI, have a statistically significant long-run co-integrating relationship with environmental degradation (CO2 emissions) in the under analysis economies. It showed that in ASEAN-5 countries, economic growth, financial development and FDI leads to an increase in environmental degradation. The quadratic term for economic growth showed a negative impact on environmental degradation i.e. Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC). Our key findings manifest and emphasise the importance of appropriate policies for more inclusive economic and financial development and sustainable foreign direct investment which does not impede on the environment

A Novel Approach of Implementing an FFT Algorithm on OFDM System

In this paper, we make insightful assessment of the computational performance of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system in terms of complex calculations required using different Fourier transform techniques. We briefly introduce the different transform technique, viz. discrete Fourier transform (DFT) and various types of fast Fourier transform (FFT) as 2-radix FFT, 4-radix FFT etc. Underpinning the existing techniques, we propose a new FFT approach that can be applied to an OFDM system with less computation complexity
